We spent a quiet weekend being grownups, George and I; we played bridge, got to meet a new niece, worked, napped, ate cookies. Both children had fantasic holidays of their own, so it was a boisterous reunion when everybody got home last night.

one down, one to go

7:58 a.m., stopped in town to get The Big Girl a bagel across the street from the Middle School (where has the time gone?). Walked her in, left her in the middle of a gaggle of excited girls.
