i love new york
George and I had a great time last night: met the Radins for Chinese at Shun Lee and took the long way back to the Waldorf. The stress and strain of last week’s accident is starting to fade.
This afternoon we’re sitting around Flushing Meadows watching Federer play Djokovic, thought about wandering over to Louis Armstrong stadium to watch Nadal but decided instead to stay put. It’s threatening to rain, I’m thinking about a nap.
We really should to this more often. Favorite thing at the US Open? Crepes, bien sur. Celebrating Judi’s 20k achievement at The Palm tonight, then heading for home tomorrow if the weather holds up. There are worse places to be stuck — I love New York.

Glad you kids are having a super time! Please - eat a crepe, or two - or 3 - for your dear friend, Bundy.
As for Judi - truly, express my congratulations and kudos for a fine accomplishment. I know how hard I have worked for all of my points … and to think that Judi has almost twice as many!
Best thing about Judi is she puts paid to the FALSEHOOD that women can’t play bridge - in spades!
