From what I’ve seen so far, plusses and minuses. (And yes; other than hearing her name a few times, I didn’t know anything about her, either.)
Tough, smart lady. Battling waste and fraud and pork in her own state. Gotta love a basketball star nicknamed “The Barracuda!” Assertive, no-nonsense = good.
Her level of experience? Not good. Don’t like Obama’s lack thereof - don’t like her lack. But - she is running for VP, so - not quite as important.
Probably my most major beef is that she is so conservative socially. I am not.
But then, that’s something I frequently face when I vote for Republicans.
Never a fun choice for me. Do I vote for small government and social conservatism? Or big government and social views more like my own?
Firstly, Rudy is a moron, widely considered one of the worst mayors in NYC history.
Secondly, this notion of big government vs small is simply nonsense. The deficit is at world record levels, all under an 8 year Republican administration.
How about voting for peace vs war, sense vs idiocy, human rights vs fascism.
Yep; all conservatives and Republicans want thousands of people murdered in wars instead of sunshine and fluffy clouds of peace. Why didn’t I realize that!
I have many liberals friends. Hell; on a number of topics, I hold fairly liberal positions myself.
Fortunately for me, however, my liberal friends appreciate that the world is not divided into liberals=good guys and conservatives=fascists.
By the way - if it weren’t for Rudy, NYC might now just be a bigger, dirtier and more corrupt version of Detroit.
