What a disappointment it was to learn that the Open European Championships next summer in San Remo (12-27 June 2009) conflict with our Open Trials (5-16 June 2009). Seems like the sort of thing the organizations might think to coordinate.

I did some research and found that the USBF long ago booked their trials. The EBL lost their hotel and dates and had to change their event. The USBF has also worked hard to try not to have the Senior trials conflict with the Open Euro’s. Alas…..

they are afraid that if you are able to compete in both you might qualify and win both…they just wanna keep it open for some of the other folks out there.
