one big happy family
I’m appointing myself head of the Fred Gitelman fan club, even if it means overthrowing any regime currently in place: BridgeBase really is the nuts. Yesterday I had the best time — during the day I went online and caught some of the JoAnna Stansby-Pamela Grannovetter practice against Matthew Grannovetter and a team of people at Russ Ekeblad’s, and in the evening I recorded the Shannon-Jenny set against Steve Beatty and Allan Falk while the cherubs and I went to dinner. Came back in time to watch the last several boards with a highly entertaining group of friends and teammates.
Occasionally I stop and review the n degrees of separation: My dear friend and sometimes opponent and I were chatting while we watched my sometimes partner against a partner of hers. And then there’s the whole … yanno … Leaping Michaels thing. Everybody’s connected to everybody in the peanut gallery, one way or another. Almodóvar rather than Woody Allen, if you know what I mean. Emphasis on happy.
Next up, ten straight days of IMPS.

Red - can I join your FG fan club?
BBO truly is a marvelous invention. So much about it that deserves applause - as you detail above. YAY Fred - and Sheri!
And…. I will see YOU and the rest of our buddies in short order! More YAY!

Absolutely, Peg, come right on in. The more, the merrier. One big happy family, right?
See you Thurs — good luck in the team thing. xoxo
