there’s no place like home

I’ll tell you the truth: it felt terrible to finish last. I’m all done with that.

Yesterday was so exciting — Peggy and company put up a great fight  and kept it close all the way; Judi achieved her milestone, becoming the 7th woman to win 20,000 masterpoints.  I’m willing to bet she’s the single largest black-point holder in the history of the colored points.

It is the most gorgeous spring holiday weekend outside; I’m grateful that my home office is all garden and sunroom — I can appreciate the day without missing a hand on VuGraph.  Today rates to be dramatic, tensions are high in Raleigh.  Yesterday’s hubub about the tray and dog and and the VuGraph operator and whatnot may well continue.   Curious distractions.
