George says I jinxed myself. That’s okay. We went minus today, finishing the first twelve boards of the semifinals (against Les and Gloria Silverman Bart, and John Carruthers, among other people) down five imps. The rockstars pulled it out, winning by one to get us to the finals this evening.

It’s not like winning a world championship, Judi assured me, or even coming second. But beating Carolyn Lynch-John Sutherlin, Meckstroth-Rodwell, Cheek-Grue, Bob Hampton-Jerry Helms, Levin-Weinstein, and Berkowitz-Cohen all in one day is huge fun. Huge.Â
