six-year free home trial

Well, the six-year free home trial ends today; I don’t suppose we’ll send her back. Went over to the elementary school with the birthday book and some pencils yesterday afternoon. (Pencils?) In lieu of treats. Glad I did First Grade back when birthdays meant cupcakes.
This year’s birthday book was perfect: Fancy Nancy: Bonjour Butterfly! In our district, the little guys end the school year with the Butterfly Unit. And everybody who knows anything about books and first graders knows that Fancy Nancy is the bomb, which is a fancy way of saying rockstar.
The family’s coming for brunch, we’ve got tickets to both baseball games today (April showers bring May flowers) and I’ve got the tiniest little hangover. I’m not much of a ‘hair of the dog’ person, more’s the pity. Looking for a few fiction hours this weekend but don’t rate to find them. Back to work on Monday.

Hey - give Ms. K a large hug & kiss for me on her VERY special day!
If you feel like sending her back - shoot her up north to me instead

Happy Birthday 7 year old. I wish I was there with you instead of at work.
