one great hand
I saw too many hands yesterday to be able to answer the “Any good hands?” questions later, but a few are coming back to me this morning as I review the movies. I got one hand spectacularly wrong; take a look and tell me what you think. Playing IMPS, equal white, I held:
:S: 4
:H: -
:D: AKJT852
:C: AKT86
Righty passed and I opened 1 :D: , Lefty passed and Partner bid 1 :S: . Righty bid 2 :H: . What now?

looks like a bit of a guessing game so i’ll guess we can make a slam. six clubs seems practical–just in case partner has the ace of spades a stiff diamond and 3 clubs. it doesn’t get the suit discrepency across but kind of brings partner back into the fold. now partner can evaluate the queen-jack of clubs and the ace of spades and just might bid a cold grand.
