eureka!
Stopped for lunch in Eureka at the Lost (Something-or-another) Brewery. The food was adequate, the people were worth watching. Grace and I decided it wasn’t the place for us and we pressed on. Arrived Crescent City, CA late this afternoon, took a few rooms at the Hampton Inn on the ocean where the view is spectacular and the Internet connection is reliable.
Tomorrow we’ll be up early, looking for whales off the 9th Street Beach. Then it’s through the Redwood Forest to Mt. Bachelor. Planning to ski on Tuesday. The little girl promises to be my bunny-hill buddy and her big sister assures me we’ll all be fine. I love learning from my kids.
