how about 3 spades (minor suit staym). if partner bids a minor i’d bid 4 spades to show where my outside values are and see how partner reacts…if he bids 3nt i might try 5nt, pick a slam…6 of a minor or 6 spades i can pass and 6 hearts i can correct to 6nt. can’t see a way to stop short of a slam when that’s right.

Not an easy hand. For example, if opener has 5H there is a good chance slam fails. With a good minor suit fit slam looks great.
I generally play that 3S by responder forces 3N. Then responder can make a slam try by bidding a long minor or with both minors may bid major suit shortness.
So I bid 3S and follow that up with 4H. If opener next bids 4N I pass. If opener bids 4S or 5C I bid 5D showing longer diamonds than clubs. If opener bids 5D then I raise to 6.

I thought about that. I could bid 3C asking about that. But if opener bids anything other than 3S there is a bit of a problem.
There are no good bids over anything else. At least this way he can evaluate his cards opposite my singleton heart and if he holds something like
QJx, AKJx, AKx, Qxx we can stay out of slam.
If he has 5 spades then that is at least positive knowing I likely hold 2 or 3 spades. We should get to a makeable slam.

How about this treatment we play.
3C puppet - if partner bids 3S you can continue. If 3D we inquire about major the normal way at the 3 level and 4C and 4D by responder show both. Over 3N 4C and 4D continuation still show both in a different context.
That leaves 4M over 3D and 3N to be
4H Ace asking not RKC - no agreed suit
4S MSS
4N Qty
so in this hand after puppet and a non 3S response. we get to bid 4S and MSS
works for us (at least it did the last the “super puppet extension” came up (I think it was summer 1997 = but the years get fogier as I go along.!!!!
