Barry Rigal called it the biggest upset in Bermuda Bowl history last night, when South Africa beat Italy to advance to today’s semi-final match against USA1. Much will be written about that match, I’ll leave the erudite analysis to the expert players and commentators. Instead, I’ll reiterate my favorite point: opponent-picking is baaaaad business.
I’ll write again later, when George goes in to play the first set.

the weather is finally changing here. it’s been hot and humid, in the 80’s. tomorrow promises to be almost 20 degrees cooler. it will be fall when you get home. i am starting to notice leaves changing their colors. i’ll be glad to have fall weather; hopefully it lasts.
i’m glad that the upset works in USA1’s favor. best of luck to them.
