dearly beloved

I’ll bet you’re within three degrees of somebody getting married today. George tells me the limo business is full up. Be sure and check them out whenever your travels bring you to our fair city.  It is perfectly clear after yesterday that you won’t be calling for rides to the ballpark to see White Sox playoff games this september.  Ouch.  Lost the first game 20 to 14, the second 12 to 0.

It’s been a frustrating couple of weeks on the work front, too.  Decided to take a complete break from bridge and focus on the manuscript, now it’s taken about two weeks to settle back into the groove of getting fresh stuff onto the page.  I try to maintain some sense of discipline, refuse to move down the to-do list before completing task one; blogging’s after writing on the priority list and social emails are after that.  Then phone calls.

But it’s better now.  Managed about 7,500 fresh words this week and a few of them were really good.  Will be looking for some test readers, let me know if you’re interested.
