From yesterday afternoon’s club game. You hold x / x / JTxxx / KQJxxx. Red (maybe equal red), if that matters. I wanted to open the bidding, but thought better of it in the nick of time, so it went three passes to partner, who opened 1H. Righty bid 2H, showing spades and a minor. Your call?

i’d keep passing for the time being…definitely wouldn’t be surprised to hear a bunch of spades from lho. at any rate i think i’ll bid my clubs over any number of spades unless partner rebids hearts at some level. cool blog!

So you pass and lefty bids 2S. Partner bids 3H, righty trots out 3S. Now what?

4 clubs seems about right. from the auction it sounds like partner has a partial club fit (looks as if opps have 9 spades and rho should have 5 diamonds for the michaels bid). i’m hoping partner can raise clubs…i feel like i’ve decribed my hand pretty well and based on the auction and my bid, partner should have a good idea of what to do.
