re-entry

Re-entry can be tricky, particularly when it’s false. These next couple of weeks are dedicated to Shannon, Chris & Ginny, Peggy & Betty Ann. The trials are coming and I want to be ready, so I’m home, but not really.  Shannon and I started early this morning — we played for a couple of hours, then I started the first dozen hands on Mike Lawrence’s Counting at Bridge CD.  Counting.  Here I come.

Let’s face it.  These next couple of weeks are training. It may not be exactly the kind of training I’m used to — cycling, running, lifting — but it’s training nonetheless.  I’ll be working on counting, card combinations, our NT defenses.  Shannon will be here first thing in the morning, we’ll play tomorrow afternoon.  Tomorrow night we’ll be behind home plate when the White Sox take on the Yankees.  (A-Rod, anyone?)  Thursday we’ll play twice, Friday once then Shannon heads out on Saturday afternoon.

Next week is another story — study, study, study — and a whole lotta BBO.  Thanks to Fred Gitleman especially, for the software that fuels all the learning.

Not so sure about that. Seems both require patience and determination. Counting isn’t necessarily a method, but a discipline.

Good luck in your endeavor … there are many rooting you on.
